Classic Herby Goat Casserole

CLassic Herby Goat Casserole
Ingredients:

500g diced goat (for bold flavor) or 1kg (recommended for a balanced dish)

1 Sachet of our Classic Herby Goat

1 tbsp cooking oil or dripping

1 large onion, chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

3 medium carrots, sliced

2 parsnips, cubed

2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed

750ml vegetable or beef stock

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Heat the oil or dripping in a large, heavy-bottomed casserole dish and brown the goat on all sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same dish, sauté the onions and garlic until softened and fragrant.

Add the carrots, parsnips, and potatoes, stirring briefly.

Return the goat to the dish, then pour in the stock.

Add The Classic Herby Goat Sachet.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then cover the casserole dish with a lid and transfer to a preheated oven at 160°C (140°C fan) or gas mark 3. Cook for 2–2½ hours, or until the goat is tender and the vegetables are soft.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with warm, crusty bread or fluffy Yorkshire puddings to soak up the rich, hearty gravy. This dish is perfect for a comforting family meal on a chilly evening.
