Goat Shepards(Herdsman) pie

Goat Mince Shepherd’s Pie
Ingredients:

500g goat mince

1 onion, finely chopped

2 carrots, diced

1 cup frozen peas

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

500ml beef or vegetable stock

4 medium potatoes, peeled and boiled

2 tbsp butter

50ml milk

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan).

Heat oil in a pan and sauté onion and carrot until soft. Add goat mince and cook until browned.

Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, stock, and peas. Simmer until the mixture thickens.

Mash potatoes with butter and milk. Season with salt and pepper.

Transfer the goat mince mixture to a baking dish and spread mashed potatoes on top.

Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.

Serve hot with steamed greens or a side salad.
