Goat Tikka Masala

Indian Tikka Masala Goat Curry
Ingredients:

Goat meat: 500g for bold spice, or 1kg for recommended flavour use

1 sachet Tikka Masala spice mix

500ml tomato puree

1 large onion, finely chopped

3 garlic cloves, minced

250ml plain yogurt (optional for creaminess)

2 tbsp cooking oil or ghee

500ml water

1 cup diced carrots

1 cup potatoes, cubed

1 cup green beans, trimmed

Instructions:

Coat the goat meat with 80g of the tikka masala spice mix (reserve the rest for later), ensuring it’s evenly coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil or ghee in a large pot and sauté the onions and garlic until golden and fragrant.

Stir in the reserved spice mix, followed by the tomato puree. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the goat meat to the pot and brown it gently on all sides.

Pour in 500ml of water, stirring well. Simmer for 40 minutes, then add the carrots, potatoes, and green beans. Cook until the meat is tender and the vegetables are soft.

If desired, stir in the yogurt for a creamy, velvety texture.

Serving Suggestion: Pair with steamed basmati rice or naan bread for a satisfying, authentic meal.
